MADISON, Wis. – The 13th-ranked Wisconsin women's swimming and diving teams (7-0, 3-0 BIG) rolled to another dual win Friday night at Soderholm Family Aquatic Center. The Badgers picked up all 14 event wins to finish the meet with a 218-76 victory over Green Bay.
Senior and team captain Phoebe Bacon started the meet off strong with a win in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.82. Bacon was followed by Abby Wanezek in second place with a 1:50.35, with Emily Ecker trailing in third with a 1:51.48.
Wanezek earned her first individual event win of the season in the 200 back, hitting the wall first in 2:03.51. Junior and team captain Mackenzie McConagha led the Badger sweep in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall first in 51.46. Kaylyn Schoof followed in second with a 54.68, and Kit Schneider snuck into third with a 56.75.
Sophomore Hazal Ozkan earned two individual event wins on Friday night. Ozkan won the 200 IM in 1:59.51, with Katie McClintock not far behind her in second with a time of 2:00.38. She also won the 100 free with a season-best time of 50.97.
