MADISON, Wis. – No. 23 Wisconsin splits competition again this week with a home dual versus Northwestern on Friday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. CT at the UW Field House and travels to wrestle at Purdue on Sunday, Feb. 4 at Noon CT at Holloway Gymnasium in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Both matches will be streamed live on B1G+. Friday’s home dual will feature Nate Arquinego and Steve Leurquin of WIWrestle.com on the call.

Here’s six more notes to pin:
1. Last Time Out:
Wisconsin had two tough losses in Big Ten action last weekend. UW lost 22-15 on the road at Michigan State on Jan. 26. Wisconsin returned home and lost 28-9 to Nebraska at the UW Field House on Sunday, Jan. 28. The Badgers are now 6-4 overall and 0-3 in the league.
Five Badgers earned wins against the Spartans as Dean Hamiti, Max Maylor, Eric Barnett, Nicolar Rivera and Joe Zargo picked up decision victories.
Barnett, Hamiti and Maylor finished the weekend undefeated after earning decision victories against the Huskers on Sunday at home in front of 3,092 fans.
2. Scouting the Wildcats
Unranked Northwestern is currently winless at 0-3 (0-4 overall) in the Big Ten standings after losses to Maryland (29-15), No. 6 Nebraska (39-3) and No. 3 Iowa (46-0).
Three of Northwestern’s wrestlers are currently ranked by Intermat: No. 18 Trevor Chumbley (157), No. 21 Maxx Mayfield (165) and No. 33 Troy Fisher (184).
2. Scouting the Boilermakers:
Unranked Purdue is currently 0-4 B1G (5-7 overall) after losses to No. 14 Rutgers (26-13), No. 3 Iowa (34-6), No. 6 Nebraska (27-14) and Indiana (22-9).
The Boilermakers have four wrestlers ranked, most notably No. 1 Matt Ramos (125), then No. 32 Greyson Clark (141), No. 20 Joey Blaze (157) and No. 32 Bordy Baumann (174).
5. Badgers in the polls
Five Badgers continue to earn national rankings in the latest Intermat poll, while the team earned a No. 14 team ranking in tournament and No. 23 in duals by Intermat. The Badgers are receiving votes in the latest NWCA ranking.
Notably, this week's No. 2 ranking is the highest career mark for Eric Barnett at 125 pounds.
