SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Wisconsin women's track and field team wrapped up its regular indoor track season in South Bend, Indiana, on Saturday afternoon at the Alex Wilson Invitational.
Rachel Robinson kicked the day off in the 60-meter dash, the sophomore finished second with a time of 7.73 seconds. Robinson was back competing in the 200 meters, finishing fifth crossing in 26.18.
A duo of middle-distance runners took on the 800 meters, as Ruby Madden and Maggie Munson finished ninth and 12th, respectively. Madden crossed with a time of 2:11.32, while Munson followed quickly behind her in 2:12.36.
Leaps and bounds
Freshman Elissa Perkins showcased her dominance in both the long jump and triple jump on Saturday. Perkins started the competition by winning the long jump with a distance of 18 feet, 8 ¾ inches (5.71m). The Bolingbrook, Illinois native picked up right where she left off, finishing second in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 40-6 (12.34m). This is the second consecutive weekend Perkins has set a personal best mark in the triple jump.

The Badgers will travel to The Spire in Geneva, Ohio, for the Big Ten Indoor Championships next weekend. Events will begin at 9:40 a.m. CT on Friday, with events resuming on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The meet will be streamed live on B1G+.
