Badgers grab first place finish at the Invitational at the Ford

Huss and Wisdom finished first and second to lead UW
RICHMOND HILL, Ga. – Wisconsin men's golf is bringing home their first tournament title of the season after an impressive showing at the Invitational. The team finished 24-under par to lead the eight-team field at the Ford Field & River Club.
Cameron Huss was the top finisher among the 54 golfers after a career-best showing. Huss finished 15-under par after carding a new career low 54-hole score of 201 (69-66-66). The senior now ranks second in program history as his 201 is just one stroke behind the program's leader, Ben Walter (1994), who shot a 200.
Huss once again led the Badgers, shooting an impressive six-under 66 with seven birdies to finish in first place at 15-under par.
Spencer Turtz improved his second round score by eight strokes to shoot a four-under 68 in the third round. Turtz finished tied for 25th at one-over par.
Blake Wisdom shot a two-under 70 in the final round to bring him to 10-under par after three rounds. Wisdom earned a second place finish right behind Huss. Jacob Beckman also carded a two-under 70, placing him tied for 33rd at three-over par.
Coalter Smith made par to finish tied for 38th at four-over par. Graham Moody finished out the tournament with a six-over 78, placing him tied for 51st at 12-over par.
Wisdom carded a career-low 18-hole score of 65 (-7) in the second round of the invitational. He tallied an impressive eight birdies during his record-breaking round.
Huss followed closely behind, shooting a six-under 66 with five birdies and an eagle. Smith shot a one-over 72, while Beckman carded a three-over 75. Turtz rounded out the team lineup with a four-over 76.
Individual Moody was unable to finish the round before play suspended. Moody later finished the round on Tuesday morning and made par.
Huss paced the Wisconsin golfers, shooting a three-under 69, and Wisdom carded a one-under 71.
Turtz shot a one-over 73, while Beckman followed closely with a two-over 74. Smith carded a three-over 75 to round out the team lineup, and Moody, who is competing individually, tallied a six-over 78.

Round 3
The Badgers recorded a program-best 18-hole team score of 274 (-14) in the third and final round of the invitational, helping lift them to a first place finish over Wake Forest.Huss once again led the Badgers, shooting an impressive six-under 66 with seven birdies to finish in first place at 15-under par.
