MADISON, Wis. - The No. 25 Wisconsin women's tennis team extended its win streak by two today, Saturday, Sunday Mar. 16, defeating Minnesota and Milwaukee. The Golden Gophers and Panthers were brought down 7-0. 

vs. Minnesota

Maria Sholokhova and Alina Mukhortova dominated against their No. 1 singles opponent, 6-3. Rosie Garcia Gross and Taylor Cataldi brought home the doubles point in the No. 3 doubles in another 6-3 match.

In singles play, the Badgers achieved an impressive 11 out of 12 set victories, in addition to securing wins in all three tiebreakers against Minnesota. Despite a first-set loss, Alina Mukhortova made a strong comeback to decisively win the following two sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Taylor Cataldi navigated a challenging first set to triumph in her tiebreak by 7 points. She continued her success into the second set, which also advanced to a tiebreak, where she emerged victorious with a 7-2 score.

vs. Milwaukee

In their doubles match against Milwaukee, Rosie Garcia Gross and Taylor Cataldi played in full form at No.2 doubles, securing the first victory in twenty minutes. Ava Martin and Alina Mukhortova were quick to follow with a 6-1 win. 

Maria Sholokhova set the tone by dominating her singles match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Xinyu Cai secured the match point for the Badgers with a convincing straight-set win against Milwaukee. Lastly, Kaja Jacobson made a remarkable comeback after a first-set loss to claim the second set and the match in a tiebreak.
