MADISON, Wis. – It's back! The Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour returns for its 16th season on Friday, Oct. 17. The men's 8K "A" race begins at 12:30 p.m. while the men's "B" race will start at 11:10 a.m.

There is no spectator parking at the cross country course or University Ridge. Spectator parking will be located at Reddan Soccer Park. Reddan Soccer Park is located in northern Verona off Cross Country Road. A map of the parking layout is available here. Free spectator shuttles are available for transportation to the course. One accessible shuttle will be available. The shuttle service begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes one hour after the final race has finished. Fans are encouraged to arrive early so you don't miss any of the action! Parking is not allowed on County Highway PD or County Highway M near the Zimmer Course. Any vehicles violating this will be subject to ticket and tow at the owner's expense.

Christian de Vaal, the No. 7 Wisconsin men's cross country team claimed victory at the 46th Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Friday morning. The Badgers topped Big Ten rival Washington, ranked No. 24 nationally in the USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll and No. 4 in the conference at the time, as well as No. 16 North Carolina. North Carolina finished sixth with 147 points, while Washington placed eighth with 192.

Nick Gilles earned a top-15 finish in the "B" race at the 2024 Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour to highlight action for the Badgers on Friday at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. Gilles crossed the 8K course in 24 minutes, 55.7 seconds followed by
Zach Temple was 32nd in 26:19.4 while senior
Oliver Paleen was five spots behind in 26:41.6.
TOP COMPETITION: The 16th Nuttycombe Invitational will feature a highly competitive field, featuring 17 nationally ranked teams. Wisconsin enters the meet as the top-ranked Big Ten program at No. 7 in the nation. Michigan State follows as the third-ranked Big Ten team, currently holding the No. 16 spot nationally. With several top-10 programs in attendance, including Iowa State, Oklahoma State and New Mexico, the race will showcase a strong field.
B1G MOVES ON THE HORIZON: The Badgers enter their last home meet of the season, looking to capture postseason momentum as they look to capture their eighth consecutive Big Ten men's cross country title. Wisconsin looks to extend its conference dominance as the Big Ten Championships approach.
UP NEXT: The Badgers will travel to East Lansing, Michigan for the Big Ten Championships on Friday, Oct. 31. The Badgers have won the last seven Big Ten men's titles.
