MADISON, Wis. – Four Badgers representing two different countries recently wrapped up racing at the 2025 World Rowing Championships, which ran from September 21-28 in Shanghai, China.
Leading the group was Grace Joyce and Isa Darvin, who raced in the women's double sculls for Team USA. They finished the first heat in fifth place with a time of 7:00.83 before taking second in the B final (eighth overall, out of 12 entries) with a time of 7:00.93.
Also representing the United States was Lauren O'Connor, who competed in the women's single sculls event. She began her world championship run by coming in third in the second heat with a time of 7:23.94 to advance to the first semifinal, where she finished in 7:43.16. O'Connor then came in fourth in the B final (10th overall, out of 18 entries) with a final time of 7:42.99.
Taylor Caudle, who rowed for Team Australia in the women's pair, finished the third heat in 7:09.32 to come in fourth place. Caudle then rowed to a sixth-place finish in the women's pair semifinal two, crossing the finish line in 7:25.47, and a fifth-place finish in the B final (11th overall, out of 15 entries) with a time of 7:43.28.
