Head Coach Beau Hoopman

"It's a tall order racing one of the top, if not the top team in the nation right off the bat to start the season. I thought each boat had their moment. The 1V was pretty steady, and had better margins in all three races compared to last year."

"The 2V had a wake up call in the first race with Cal, but responded well in the next two races. There's still some work to do in the 3V; they raced hard, but had a rough weekend. We have 2 months to go in our season, it goes by real quick. Finding more speed is the goal from here on out. It's there, we just need the guys to step up to that next level; especially the freshmen."

"We were pretty underrepresented in that class just because the lack of experience. They should make some jumps in speed in the next three weeks and hopefully we can get them that experience. All in all a good weekend against some really good competition."
