
Badgers sign NEC Player of the Year Kadidia Toure

One of the nation’s most productive forwards brings veteran leadership to Madison
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women's basketball has landed a major addition in NEC Player of the Year Kadidia Toure.
A 6-foot-3 graduate student from Silver Spring, Maryland, Toure brings collegiate experience making stops at James Madison, Arizona State, and most recently LIU.
In the 2025-26 season at LIU, Toure appeared in 31 games, averaging 19.2 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 46.9% from the field. She finished the season with 596 points and 321 rebounds and was named the NEC Player of the Year. She also earned U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Player of the Week, Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week, and multiple NEC Player of the Week honors.Â
Toure led the NEC and was among some of the nation's best in multiple categories, ranking No. 1 in points per game (19.2), rebounds per game (10.3), field goals made (214), free throws made (155), and double-doubles (15). She also ranked among the national leaders, finishing top five in free throw percentage (77.9) and top 20 in rebounds per game.
She posted a career-high 29 points against Mercyhurst and a career-best 18 rebounds against New Haven. She also recorded a career-high 7 assists at Mercyhurst, 5 blocks against New Haven, and 6 steals at Stonehill.
Prior to LIU, Toure spent time at Arizona State and James Madison. In 2023-24 at Arizona State, she appeared in all 31 games with seven starts, averaging 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 43.5% from the field. She recorded a career-high at the time 22 points and 14 rebounds against San Francisco. At James Madison in 2022-23, she appeared in 21 games, averaging 3.4 points and 1.95 rebounds per game.
Toure is the daughter of Mariame and Morifere Toure.
