Badgers enter final stretch of conference play
MADISON, Wis - Wisconsin women's tennis will make another trip to the West Coast this weekend, facing Oregon on Friday, April 10 at 3 p.m. and Washington on Sunday, April 12 at 2 p.m.
1. The Last Time OutÂ
Wisconsin picked up another sweep over Minnesota last Sunday, securing the doubles point before following with three straight singles wins. A shuffle in the doubles lineup paid off, as Ellison Reynoldson and Kaja Jacobson earned a bagel victory, while Maria Sholokhova and Ekaterina Ivanova added a 6-4 win to give the Badgers the early edge.
Jacobson continued her strong play at No. 6 singles, earning a convincing win and becoming the first Badger off the court. Tianna Rangan followed with a 6-1, 6-2 victory to move Wisconsin closer to the sweep. At No. 1, Sholokhova controlled the first set before battling through a back-and-forth second set. Tied at 5-5, she secured the break and closed out the match to clinch the win for Wisconsin. The victory marked the Badgers' fourth consecutive sweep over the Gophers.

No. 65 Oregon enters Friday's match with an 11-10 overall record and a 2-7 mark in conference play. The Ducks most recently picked up a 4-2 road win over Iowa on March 20. Tilde Jagare leads the lineup at No. 1 singles with a 16-8 record. Oregon will look to secure a ranked win at home.

Washington holds a 15-3 overall record and remains undefeated at home at 10-0. The Huskies are coming off a 4-0 sweep over Illinois on March 29. Senior Reece Carter leads the team at No. 2 singles with a 15-1 record, while fellow senior Erika Matsuda holds a 6-2 record at No. 1.
