2019 Outdoor: Capped off a stellar season with a personal-best throw of 174-4 in the discus at the NCAA West Preliminary (5/23-25) to finish 16th ... had a medal finish at the Big Ten Championship (5/12) with a third place finish in discus with a 172-1 throw... competed at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic (5/3) and took second place in discus with a 173 foot, 10 inch toss... took 23rd place in discus at the Long Beach Invitational (4/20) with a 164 foot, 6 inch toss... finished in eighth place in discus at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (4/18) with a 163-8 throw... took eighth place in discus at the Sun Angel Classic (4/6) wit h a toss of 169-7... began the 2019 season with a win in open discus at the Aztec Invitational (3/22-23) with a mark of 170 feet, 4 inches, and took fifth in the invitational discus with a 169-1 toss

2019 Indoor: Finished in 16th place in weight throw with a 59 foot, 6 1/4 inch throw at the Big Ten Championship (2/22)... set a personal best in weight throw at the Red and White Classic (2/15) with a 61-1 1/2 (18.63m) toss.. competed at the Power Five Invitational (2/1) in weight throw and threw for 54 feet, 7 1/2 inches, taking eighth place... took 15th in weight throw with a 55-7 (16.94 meter) throw at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational (1/18)... won the discus with a personal best mark of 169-09 (51.73m) and was the runner-up in the weight throw with a PR toss of 58-8 1/4 (18.19m) at the Badger Icebreaker (1/12)

2018 Outdoor: Placed 16th in the discus at the NCAA West Preliminary Round (5/25) with a throw of 170-2 (51.87m) ... finished sixth overall in the discus with a toss of 172-4 (52.53m) at the Big Ten Championships (5/13) ... threw a personal best  in the discus with a mark of 173-10 (52.99m) to finish second at the Wisconsin Twilight (5/4)...Won the discus at the Bryan Clay Invite (4/20) with a throw of 168-8 (51.43m)...finished 14th in the discus with a mark of 171-10 (52.38m) at the Beach Invite (4/21)...placed second in the discus with an incredible throw of 172-6 (52.59m) at the Spec Towns Invite (4/6-7)...finished third in the discus with a throw of 168-1 (51.24m) at the California Collegiate Open (3/31)

2017 Outdoor: Finished 15th in the discus at the Big Ten Championships (5/12-14) with a throw of 154-1 (46.96m) ... threw a personal-best 164-3 (50.06m) in the discus at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic (5/5) to place third ... was runner-up in the discus at the Drake Alternative meet (2/29) with a throw of 159-5 (48.61m) ... finished fifth in the discus with a mark of 159-5 (48.61m) at the triton Invitational (4/21) ... threw a personal-best 162-8 (49.58m) in the discus at the Jim Click Shootout (4/8) ... placed seventh in the discus at the Aztec Invite (3/24-25) with a throw of 159-10 (48.72m)

2017 Indoor: Threw 54-6 (16.61m) in the weight throw at the Shell Shocker (2/17), placing 13th ... Placed 16th in weight throw at the Iowa State Classic (2/10-11) with a throw of 53-7 (16.33m) ... finished fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 55-4 3/4 (16.88m) at the Black and Gold Premier (1/27-28) ... 2016 Outdoor: Took 11th in the discus with a toss of 158-8 at the Big Ten Championships (5/13-15) ... Earned a sixth place finish in the discus with a toss of 157-2 at the Wisconsin Twilight (5/6) ... Made her Wisconsin debut this season by taking first in the discus with a new personal-best throw of 160-3 at the Drake Alternative Meet (5/1) ... Competed unattached for Wisconsin to finish 18th in the discus throw at the Triton Invitational (4/23) with a heave of 154-3 (47.03m)

2015 Outdoor: Redshirt season ... Competed for Wisconsin and finished 14th in the discus throw at the USA Outdoor Junior Championship (6/25) with a heave of 139-4 (42.46m) ... Competed unattached to a fifth place finish in the discus throw with a heave of 158-3 (48.23m) at the Wisconsin Twilight (5/8) ... Competed unattached to a fifth place finish in the discus throw with a toss of 143-6 (43.75m) at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative (4/26)

2015 Indoor: Redshirt season

High School

As a senior, she won the regional title in both shot put and discus... took second for both shot put and discus in sectionals...at state, she finished seventh in discus and placed tenth in shot put...named MVP by her team...as a junior, finished first for both shot put and discus at regionals...she then placed second for both at sectionals.
 

Personal

Parents are Doug and Kate Barton...has a younger sister, Maddie...played volleyball in high school and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention...graduated as Valedictorian from high school...major is biomedical engineering.
 

Why Wisconsin?

"I chose to be a Badger for many reasons, the biggest being the experiences that I had already had here. Throughout my childhood and high school career the school and campus was always there for me to enjoy and I couldn't really imagine being anywhere else. Plus, you can't beat the school spirit and the generosity of Wisconsinites."
