MADISON, Wis. -- A pair of University of Wisconsin divers placed on the springboard Friday, the opening day of the Arizona Diving Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.
Junior Caleb Percevecz led the way for the Badger men on the 1-meter board, grabbing a fifth-place finish with a final-round score of 325.85. The mark is the second best this season for Percevecz, who advanced to the finals after tallying a total of 299.50 in the preliminary session.
In the men’s consolation competition, freshman Michael Ross took second place with a score of 287.35.
Al Morrison and Tim Feyereisen also competed for the Badgers, although neither advanced out of the preliminary round. Morrison was 17th in the prelims with his total of 234.65, while Feyereisen ranked 19th at 225.80.
On the women’s side, junior Ciara Rinaudo finished eighth in the 3-meter finals by totaling a score of 241.15. In the prelims, Rinaudo posted a score of 265.65, her second-best mark of the year.
The meet continues Saturday with the men’s 3-meter competition and the women’s 1-meter competition at Arizona’s Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
