MADISON, Wis. – Juniors
Lamar Remy and
Josef Dodridge have spent the entire season atop to the Wisconsin men's tennis lineup measuring up with the best in the Big Ten. On Thursday, the conference confirmed the duo's place among the elite by naming Remy a first-team All-Big Ten selection and awarding Dodridge second-team honors.

Chema Carranza was also honored with the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the third-consecutive season.
Remy is the first Wisconsin player to earn first-team All-Big Ten honors since 2011 when Marek Michalicka took home the honor. The last time the Badgers had two players recognized in the conference's postseason awards was in 2010 when Michalicka and Moritz Bauman both earned first-team All-Big Ten.
For Dodridge, this marks the second time he has been recognized, also garnering second-team All-Big Ten honors as a freshman in 2015.
Remy is 19-13 on the season, including a mark of 13-7 during the spring. The Roslyn, New York, native assumed UW's No. 1 singles position on Feb. 25 and has gone 9-6 at that spot, including a record of 6-4 in Big Ten play. Remy and partner
Chase Colton have posted a record of 23-5 at the No. 2 doubles position, including an impressive 9-1 mark in Big Ten action.
Dodridge is 20-16 on the season, going 12-9 primarily at the No. 2 singles position in the spring. A native of Bournemouth, England, Dodridge went 6-4 during Big Ten play, including a win over first-team All-Big Ten selection and 53rd-ranked Konrad Zieba of Northwestern. Chema Carranza tallied a mark of 17-8 overall, including a 7-2 record in Big Ten play.
The Badgers earned the No. 4 seed in the 2017 Big Ten Tournament and will begin play on Friday against No. 5 seed Northwestern. First serve from the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Indiana will take place at 10:30 a.m. (CT).
