MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's soccer team (5-2-2 overall, 2-1-0 Big Ten) hits the road to Piscataway, New Jersey to face Big Ten foe Rutgers (2-7-1, 0-4-0) at 2:30 p.m. (CT). 1. LOOKING BACK: Wisconsin clinched a huge non-conference home win over Wright State on Tuesday night. The Badgers beat the Raiders, 2-1, in a double overtime thriller. The huge decision propelled the Badgers to their 18th-consecutive undefeated home streak.
2. TOMMY BOY: Wisconsin's Tom Barlow is in a league of his own in the late comings of games. The senior has three game-winning goals this season, a mark that is first place in the Big Ten and sixth in the NCAA. In addition, Barlow holds a top-5 position in the Big Ten in seven different categories. The categories include goals per game (.44), points per game (1.11), shots per game (2.89), shots on goal per game, total goals (4), and total points (10).
3. MUELLER THE MAGNIFICENT: Wisconsin's 2016 All-American Chris Mueller hasn't slowed pace this season. The senior is on a tear, earning multiple spots in the top-10 statistically in the NCAA. This season, Mueller has taken 36 tries on net generating a four shot-per-game average, a mark that lands him second in the Big Ten and 12th in the nation. Mueller stands at number one in the Big Ten with a .67 assists-per-game average. The mark stands 13th nationally. Most impressively, Mueller has six assists on the season. That puts the senior at first in the Big Ten and an astonishing fifth nationally.
4. SCOUTING REPORT - SCARLET KNIGHTS: Rutgers is off to a 2-7-1 start including an 0-4 record in the Big Ten. Rutgers is off to a slow start in conference play, compiling an 0-4 record in Big Ten games. RU is 0-3 in home games and picked up its only wins of the season on the road at Oral Roberts and Princeton. Additionally, the Scarlet Knights tied UMKC on the road. The Scarlet Knights are led by Ethan Decker and Erik Sa, who have two goals apiece, accounting for four of the Scarlet Knights' 10 goals.
5. WE'VE GOT HISTORY: The programs' all-time record is tied at 2-2 with the Badgers holding a 1-0 edge in Piscataway. UW has taken the last two in a row.
