FIVE THINGS TO KNOW: IOWA
1. ON THE ROAD AGAIN:Â Wisconsin is playing its seventh and eighth road games of the season this week. Only two major conference teams have played more than six road games (Georgia and Villanova, 7). UW is 11-11 away from home in Big Ten play under head coach Greg Gard.Â
2. FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH:Â Wisconsin has one of the least experienced rosters in college basketball. The average experience level is 1.01 years. Only 20 of the 351 teams in the nation are younger. The Badgers' talented freshman class has accounted for 36.7% of the team's scoring this season, combining for 29.5 points per game.
3. GARD IN CONTROL: With a record of 52-28 (.650), Greg Gard owns the third-highest win percentage in school history (min. 60 games) behind Hall of Famers Bo Ryan (.737) and Walter Meanwell (.712).
4. HAPP HAVING HIS WAY:Â All-American Ethan Happ is the only player to rank among the Big Ten's top 10 in points (sixth at 16.7 ppg), rebounds (fourth at 8.5 rpg) and assists (10th at 3.7 apg). He is also the only major conference player averaging at least 16.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 3.0 apg.
5. DAVISON DIALED IN:Â Averaging 12.1 points per game, guard Brad Davison leads all Big Ten freshmen in scoring. He is also among the top freshmen in assists, 3-point percentage and free throw percentage.
