MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin (7-5-2, 4-2 B1G) travels to Evanston, Illinois to face Northwestern (4-7-5, 0-4-3 B1G) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (CT) before welcoming Ohio State (1-12-2, 0-5-1 B1G) to Madison for its regular season finale on Sunday at 3 p.m.

1. RIVETING REVIEW: A match against the No. 2 and No. 4 teams in the Big Ten promises to be a good one. Any game between the Badgers and the Wolverines promises to be a good one. Those promises were certainly fulfilled on Friday night's match. In fact, regular time wasn't time enough to distinguish a winner in a physical, heavily contested affair between the two teams. The matches first overtime period dragged on without a score. Spectators at the McClimon might have thought the same thing could be said for the second overtime period, as a measly three minutes remained on the score clock. But freshman Noah Melick changed their minds, blowing past the Michigan defense, sending a canon past the Maize and Blue keeper to give Wisconsin a 1-0 overtime win.

2. MELICK THE MAGNIFICENT: After notching the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week nomination after his marvelous match against the Rutgers, freshman Noah Melick is up to all his same tricks. This time, the young player scored a game-winning goal – his second of the season – against a top-25 team and second-seeded team in the Big Ten conference. His goal came in the 107th minute of play. Melick showcased his blistering speed, ball-control, and impressive touch by blowing past the Wolverine defenders to tally the lone-score of the match, giving Wisconsin a 1-0 win over No. 18 Michigan.

3. SCOUTING THE WILDCATS:  Wisconsin's match on Wednesday against Northwestern will be like any bout in the Big Ten conference: hard-fought and hard-earned. The Wildcats check in at 4-7-5 overall and tally an 0-4-3 record in the conference. Northwestern has struggled as of late as the Wildcats have tied or lost in its last 10 matches. Their last win came on Sept. 9 against Missouri-Kansas City by a 1-0 decision. The Badgers lead the overall series 29-11-5 and boast an impeccable 14-4-1 record in Evanston.

4. SCOUTING THE BUCKEYES: Ohio State has had a series of close games losses to accumulate a 1-12-2 overall record and winless 0-5-1 record in the Big Ten. Seven of those matches have been decided by a goal or less for the Buckeyes. Recently, Ohio State played Kentucky and Maryland, matches they dropped, 3-0 and 5-0, respectively. The Buckeyes will face Indiana on Wednesday before traveling to Madison to face Wisconsin in the regular season finale. Wisconsin trails in the overall series 15-17-3. The Badgers luck improves when at home and leads in the series when in Madison, 8-7.
