MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer (1-1) team starts a three-game road trip in Lexington, Kentucky as it faces off against the Wildcats (3-0) Sunday afternoon.
1. PEEP BACK: The Badgers dropped their first home game of the season Thursday evening when No. 6 Florida State came to Madison. The Seminoles scored twice in the first half and once in the second, cruising to a 3-0 victory.
2. SCOUTING KENTUCKY: Sitting at 3-0 on the season, the Wildcats have played two of their three games at home. Kentucky went into overtime in back-to-back games against Little Rock, entering double overtime, and Morehead University.
3. HISTORY LESSON: Wisconsin holds the all-time series record over Kentucky at 6-1-1. The most recent meeting came in 2017 when Wisconsin hosted the Wildcats and won the contest 1-0.
4. SHE'S BACK: Junior forward and Big Ten Preseason Honors recipient Dani Rhodes saw her first minutes of the season against Florida State. Wisconsin's 2017 leader in points, goals and shots didn't see any game action against Marquette. Rhodes came off the bench against the Seminoles, playing 55 minutes.
5. LOOKING AHEAD: This is the first game of Wisconsin's first extended road trip of the season. Following Sunday's match the Badgers will travel to the Pacific Northwest to take on Washington and Portland.
