Box Score MALIBU, Calif. – The Wisconsin men's tennis team took a break from Big Ten Conference play with a match at Pepperdine Wednesday afternoon. The Badgers (7-5, 1-1 B1G) fell to the Waves (4-7) at the Ralphs-Stratus Tennis Center by a score of 4-3.
 
UW got out to a great start, winning two doubles matches for the first point of the contest. Wisconsin's dynamic duo of Jared Pratt and Osgar O'Hoisin, ranked No. 25 in the country, took their match 6-4, while Robert Krill and Chase Colton won with a 6-3 decision.
 
In singles play, the Badgers got down 3-1 after dropping their first three matches. Krill closed the gap to 3-2 after a strong second set tie break to take the No. 6 match 6-4, 7-6.
 
Wisconsin tallied another singles point via a big break by Colton near the end of the third set. The junior won the No. 3 match (4-6, 6-4, 7-5).
 
Despite a close match during the first two sets, 0'Hoisin was overtaken in the third set of the No. 1 singles match (6-7, 7-6, 6-1), giving Pepperdine the decisive fourth point.

"In the end, Pepperdine deserved it a bit more today. It's hard to win on the road and every team is good at home. We were not good enough as a team today. Need to get better in a hurry to be ready for another tough road match at Iowa."
