Box Score MADISON, Wis. – In a year of heartbreakingly close losses, Wisconsin (7-6 overall, 1-2 B1G) suffered another one Sunday at the hands of the Iowa Hawkeyes by a score of 4-3. The Badgers loss to the Hawkeyes marks the fourth match lost by a single tally this season.
 
Wisconsin snagged the first point of the dual on Sunday, moving to 12-1 on the year in the doubles category.
 
Sophomore Jesper Freimuth and freshman Lenard Soha won 6-4 at the No. 2 doubles spot, helping the No. 3 tandem of junior Chase Colton and Robert Krill finish things off with an ultra-intense 7-6 (6) win to secure the tally.
 
Senior captain Osgar O'Hoisin battled back from down a set to snag a 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 win over Iowa's Oliver Okonkwo at the No. 1 position. Freshman Jared Pratt tallied the other Wisconsin win over Pitor Smietang in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
           
Westerman's Wing:
"We fought hard like we usually do. Iowa was just good at the end. We've unfortunately been on the wrong side of 4-3 matches a lot this year. We just have to keep putting ourselves in these situations. Then, we have to be a touch tougher and braver to close it out."
 
"No one is going to hand us a close victory, we have to go out and earn it. What I do know is that we are going to work hard again this week and put ourselves in this position again. We've been knocking on the door all season long and now we have to break the door down."
