Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Wisconsin men's tennis team saw its conference tournament run end on Thursday as the Badgers drop a 4-0 match to Minnesota at the 2019 Big Ten Men's Tennis Tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
After surrendering the doubles point for only the seventh time this year, UW (10-12) was unable to make up ground in singles action as Minnesota (17-8) claimed wins at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 singles to clinch the match.
Sophomore
Robert Krill was moments away from putting the Badgers on the board as the Elm Grove, Wisconsin, native was leading his match at No. 6 singles 7-5, 5-2 before it was halted.
Westerman's Wing: "Tough ending for this group. Minnesota won all of the 50/50 points and moments and credit to Minnesota for earning them. We learned a lot over the season and certainly improved as the year went on. There are a lot of positives from the year, none more important than the fact that our culture is great. Our guys work hard and compete every time out. We will get to work this summer so we can start out the fall the right way."
