COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Wisconsin women's tennis team suffered its first lost in Big Ten Conference play on Friday night, falling 6-1 at No. 21 Ohio State.
The Badgers (13-3 overall, 5-1 Big Ten) marched into Columbus and escaped with one singles victory against the Buckeyes (16-3, 5-1).
Freshman
Ava Markham was the victor of Wisconsin's sole point, defeating Luna Dormet, 7-5, 7-5, on court four.
It marked the end of a stellar run for the Badgers as UW had won its previous five Big Ten Conference matches. In addition, UW was on a six-match winning streak before its setback on Friday.
