COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Wisconsin women's tennis team dropped its first match of the season against Georgia Tech in the ITA Kickoff Weekend Tournament, 4-0.
Freshman Charmaine Seah was one of Wisconsin's top performers despite her singles match going unfinished. Seah battle her way to a first set win 7-5 in the No. 5 spot for Wisconsin.
Fellow freshman Xinyu Cai also played well for Wisconsin as her match also went unfinished. Cai battled her way back from a 6-4 first set loss against No. 73 Gia Cohen to win the second set 6-3. She was about to enter her deciding set when the Yellow Jackets sealed the win.
Up Next: The Badgers will continue play in the ITA Kickoff weekend in a consolation game against Purdue at noon CT.
