MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin travels to take on No. 20 Penn State Saturday in University Park, Pennsylvania. Tip is set for 1:15 p.m. CT on BTN.

1) IN THE NAME OF THE KING: Sophomore Kobe King has had a strong start to 2020 for the Badgers, racking up a combined 34 points against No. 5 Ohio State and Illinois. In the new year, the La Crosse native is shooting a steady 16-for-20 (80 percent) from the field, the highest average over two games this season. King is averaging 10.9 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game this season and is establishing himself as a dominant contributor in UW's lineup.

2) ROAD WARRIORS: Since 2001-02, UW has racked up 109 true road wins, the top mark of any Big Ten team. UW's .537 (109-94) road win percentage during that span trails only Michigan State (.540, 101-86).

3) BIG MEN PRODUCTION: Wisconsin has seen production from juniors Nate Reuvers and Micah Potter. Reuvers is averaging 14.3 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game, while Potter has produced 6.6 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game in just five games off the bench. The duo has also provided a defensive presence, combining for 41 blocks this season. Reuvers now has 120 blocks in his career, tying him for No. 5 on UW's career blocks list.

4) BATTLE-TESTEDThe Badgers rank No. 29 in the NET Rankings (as of Jan. 9), which also ranks Wisconsin as having the fourth-toughest schedule in the nation. The Big Ten features nine teams in the top 40 of the NET Rankings, including the Badgers (29) and Nittany Lions (23). UW's losses this season have come against teams with a combined record of 74-21.

5) THE NITTANY LIONS: No. 20 Penn State is ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time since the 1995-96 season. The Nittany Lions are led by senior forward Lamar Stevens who is averaging 16.1 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game. Penn State has earned notable wins over Syracuse, then-No. 4 Maryland and then-No. 23 Iowa.

Illinois 71, Wisconsin 70

Wisconsin led for 31 minutes, 35 seconds and held a seven-point lead with under five minutes remaining, but Illinois used a 15-4 run to erase its deficit and earn a 71-70 win at the Kohl Center on Wednesday night.
  • Kobe King drained a 3 with 22 seconds left to pull UW within one point. After a missed Illini free throw, D'Mitrik Trice missed a go-ahead bucket with three seconds left and PSU secured the road victory.
  • UW allowed a season-high 49.1% field goal shooting and a season-high 43 points in the second half.
  • Kobe King scored a game-high 21 points, shooting an efficient 10-for-13 from the floor.
  • Off the bench, Micah Potter finished with 13 points (8-8 FT), a team-high nine rebounds and a career high three blocks.
ALL-TIME VS. PENN STATE
  • Saturday's game against the Nittany Lions marks the 49th all-time meeting between Wisconsin and Penn State with UW owning a 38-10 edge in the series.
  • The Badgers have won the last 12 meetings with the Nittany Lions. PSU's last victory over Wisconsin was a 56-52 win in the 2011 Big Ten Tournament.
  • Wisconsin has won 25 of the last 27 against Penn State overall dating back to 2004.
  • UW has won 19 straight home games against PSU. The Lions' last win in Madison was a 78-67 win at the UW Field House on Jan. 26, 1995.
  • The Badgers have also won seven straight games at Penn State, equaling the school's longest road winning streak against a Big Ten opponent in history.
