Badgers set to open Big Ten play

Wisconsin hits the road to take on Wolverines and Spartans this weekend

MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men's tennis team heads east this weekend to open its Big Ten Conference slate against Michigan at 5 p.m. (CT) on Friday and Michigan State at 11 a.m. (CT) on Sunday.
 
1. On the Road Again: Wisconsin will hit the road for the second consecutive outing after falling at Illinois in its first dual match of the season, a non-conference meeting of the teams, on Feb. 9. Junior Leonard Soha scored a 6-4, 6-1 upset over No. 15-ranked Alex Brown to pace UW in the dual and now owns a 4-0 singles mark on the year.
 
The Badgers are looking to pick their first conference win of the season as they begin a 16-match Big Ten season that runs through April 18.
 
2. Scouting Michigan: Wisconsin is looking to pick up its first win against Michigan since 2009. The Wolverines are currently ranked 15th in the ITA and have three ranked singles players, along with one doubles team.
 
3. Scouting Michigan State: Wisconsin is looking to maintain its winning streak against the Spartans after defeating them 6-1 in the 2019 season. Last weekend, Michigan State fell to No. 8 Ohio State, 4-0, in its season opener.
