COLUMBUS, Ohio - After five days of tough competition, the Wisconsin men's swimming and diving team placed fifth in the Big Ten Championship meet with 729 points.
Josh Dannhauser ended the meet on a high note, placing fourth in the A final of the 1650 Free where he raced for a time of 14:46.76
Jude Williams and
Jack Leuthold also raced in the 1650 Free and placed 12th (15:11.67) and 13th (15:12.64) respectively.
Freshman
Andrew Benson placed ninth in the 100 Free finals. He took first in the B finals and swam for a time of 42.93.
To finish the day and the final event of the meet, the Badgers placed ninth in the 400 Free Relay. The team of Jacob Newmark,
Dylan Delaney,
Erik Gessner and
Wes Jekel swam a time of 2:54.58.

"That was a fun past 5 days. I'm proud of the guys' efforts. I appreciate the way they preserved through such an unusual season. We're walking away from Columbus with NCAA qualifiers, provisional relay cuts, and numerous best times. But more importantly, we're walking away with some valuable experience for a group that won't graduate a single point from this year's team. We're excited to support our NCAA group but also already looking forward to Big Tens 2022!"
