MADISON, Wis. — Carrying the No. 5 seed in the Big Ten West Division, the Wisconsin men's tennis team opens postseason play by facing off against East Division No. 4 seed Indiana in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday in Lincoln, Neb.
The Badgers (5-12, 5-11 Big Ten) are set to compete against the Hoosiers at 2 p.m. (CT) Thursday for the right to take on top-seeded Illinois in a quarterfinal match on Friday
- B1G Layout: The first round of the tournament will start at 10 a.m. Thursday when East No. 5 seed Michigan State takes on West No. 4 seed Iowa. The quarterfinals take place Friday with semifinal matches following Saturday. The championship match is set for 11 a.m. on Sunday, with the final streamed live via Big Ten Network+.
- Badger Review: The Badgers gained momentum heading into the tournament with a 4-2 victory over Nebraska in their regular-season finale on April 18. UW's No. 2 duo of Lenard Soha and Jesper Freimuth led the Badgers in doubles with their 8-1 Big Ten record. Jared Pratt continues to hold the No. 1 singles spot after locking in his ninth win and third match-clinching victory against the Huskers.
- Scouting Indiana: The Hoosiers concluded the regular season with a 6-9 record overall after dropping their final matches against No. 23-ranked Ohio State and No. 18 Illinois. When Indiana and Wisconsin faced off earlier this season, the Hoosiers came out on top with a 5-2 victory.
