MADISON, Wi. -- The Wisconsin women's cross country team secures a top-10 standing in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional ranking and a 29th place standing nationally, the USTFCCCA announced this week

 

Last season, the Badgers finished sixth in the Big Ten championships. Brogan MacDougall earned first-team All-Big Ten honors with her seventh-place finish while Alexa Westley earned second-team All-Big Ten honors with her 12th-place finish. Wisconsin returns all nine runners that competed at the Big Ten meet.  

 

This season the Badgers are using their full fall schedule to prepare to claim their first Big Ten Title in more than 20 years.This would also be the first title under coach Mackenzie Wartenberger. 

 

Other top returnees that could play a key role this season include Alissa Niggeman, Vivian Hacker, Sarah Schulze, and Victoria Heiligenthal.
