Wisconsin hosts North Dakota and DePaul in first dual action

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men's tennis team returns to the courts on Friday to host North Dakota and then takes on DePaul on Saturday as the Badgers open their spring season at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Spring Season in Full Swing: After a rather successful fall tournament schedule, the Badgers will embark on their spring season beginning with 13 non-conferences matches before a packed Big Ten slate. Wisconsin will host the 2022 Big Ten Tournament from April 28 to May 1.

Straight from the Court: "I'm very excited to start our season this weekend. This group has really come together nicely and I know they are ready to write their story this season," said UW head coach Danny Westerman, who is in his seventh season at the helm of his alma mater. "We have a small, tight group of guys and all will be needed and expected to contribute to our success this season."

Looking Ahead at the Lineup: While starting lineups and pairings will be announced right before the match, expect Wisconsin's strong senior class to lead the way. Daniel Nuzhny, Jared Pratt, Lenard Soha and Minnesota transfer Sebastian Vile are set for their final seasons in a Badger uniform. The rest of the team includes juniors Robin Parts and Gabriel Huber, as well as sophomores Tim Dzhurinsky and Mihailo Popovic

Up Next: The Badgers travel to Auburn, Alabama, for a pair of SEC matchups. Wisconsin will compete against the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, Jan. 29, followed by a matchup with the Vanderbilt Commodores on Sunday, Jan. 30.
