DULUTH, Minn. – The third-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team dropped a 3-2 overtime contest on Friday night to No. 5 Minnesota Duluth at AMSOIL Arena.
Lacey Eden scored the lone goal for the Badgers (9-2-0, 6-1-0-1-1-0 WCHA) in their first conference loss against UMD (7-2-0, 3-2-0-1-1-0 WCHA).Â
Eden got things started for the Badgers with an unassisted goal as she stole an errant UMD pass and beat UMD netminder Emma Soderberg to give UW a 1-0 lead in the first
However, a UMD goal late in regulation and an OT goal with just 57 seconds left gave the Bulldogs the first win of the series.Â
Cami Kronish made 23 saves in her sixth start of the season.
