Badgers host St. Valentines Invitational at home, select few travel to Notre Dame
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's track and field team continues its indoor season, competing at two different meets this weekend. UW hosts the Badger St. Valentine Invitational Friday at the Shell. Field events start at 2 p.m. while running events start at 5 p.m.
Select athletes competing in the distance events and the distance medley relay travel to South Bend, Indiana, to compete at the Alex Wilson Invitational. Events start at 10:40 a.m. CT on Saturday.

Here are five events to watch this weekend.
1. 1200-400-800-1600: Victoria Heiligenthal, Bianca Stubler,Danielle Bellino and Alissa Niggemann compete in the distance medley relay at the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The relay is scheduled to begin at 10:40 a.m. CT on Saturday.
2. THROWING DOWN WITH THE BADGERS: Chloe Lindeman, Chikere Oduocha, and Olivia Roberts are back in action this week in the weight throw. Lindeman sits as fourth all time at Wisconsin while Roberts sits at sixth all-time in program history. The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
Josie Schaefer and Lindeman compete in the shot put at 5 p.m. Friday. Schaefer currently holds the school record in the event, while Lindeman sits as seventh all-time.
3. MOORE BACK FOR MORE: Freshman Julia Moore is back for more this weekend after setting a new personal record in the pole vault of 13 feet, 3 ½ inches last weekend. Moore also tied for the fourth-highest clearance in the program's history. Hailey Orlowksi is set to compete Friday and currently holds the sixth highest clearance in Wisconsin history. The event takes place at 3 p.m. on Friday.
4. DISTANCE WATCH: A handful of Badgers are entered to compete in the distance events on Friday. Erinn Hill and Ashley Peterson are competing in the 3000 meters at 5:55 p.m. while Peyton Sippy, Kate Ricks, and Mya Bunke are running the mile at 7:05 p.m.
5. FOUR-LAP CLASSIC: Senior Cailyn Biegalski leads a UW contingent in the 800 meters on Friday at 6:45 p.m. Biegalski has run personal best times in the 400 meters, 600 meters and 800 meters this season. She will be accompanied by freshman teammate Maggie Munson.
