MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin (7-20, 4-13 B1G) wraps up the regular season by traveling to Purdue (16-12, 7-10) on Sunday. The Badgers and Boilermakers tip off at 12 p.m. CT from Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana, streamed live on B1G+. UW is looking to complete the season sweep of Purdue after edging the Boilermakers, 54-52, on Feb. 13 in Madison. The Badgers rallied from a school-record 22-point deficit for the win. The Big Ten Tournament is March 2-6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Here are five things to know before Sunday's game.
2. DOUBLE-DOUBLE FOR KATIE: Grad student Katie Nelson recorded her first career double-double against the Huskers, scoring 14 points while dishing off a career-high 10 assists. Behind Nelson, the Badgers dished off 18 helpers in the game, tying for the second-most in a game this season.
3. FIVE SCORE IN DOUBLE FIGURES: All five starters scored in double figures against Nebraska on Wednesday, marking the first time since Dec. 12, 2018, that five players hit 10-plus points. Brooke Schramek (20), Julie Pospisilova (15), Katie Nelson (14), Halle Douglass (11) and Krystyna Ellew (11) scored all 70 points for the Badgers.
4. HITTING FROM 3: This year's team will make its mark in the UW record book for 3-point shooting overall and in Big Ten play. The Badgers currently have made 167 triples, which ranks sixth on the season record list. In Big Ten play, Wisconsin has made 110 3-pointers, which ranks second on the season list. Freshman Krystyna Ellew is one of the top freshmen 3-point shooters in UW history, currently ranking seventh among all Badger rookies with 35 triples made. She also ranks eighth with a 3-point percentage of .372 while ranking ninth with 94 3-point attempts.
5. SCOUTING PURDUE: The Boilermakers had a two-game winning streak snapped with a 68-51 loss at Northwestern on Thursday. During the month of February, Purdue has been led in scoring by Abbey Ellis at 12.7 points per game. Jeanae Terry has pulled down an 9.7 rebounds per game during that stretch. Filling the stat sheet, Terry is one of just five players nationally to be currently averaging 7.0 points (7.1), 6.0 rebounds (6.8) and 5.0 assists (5.6) per game. Sunday's game is Senior Day for the Boilermakers.
