The Badgers (30-21) jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a pair of solo home runs. Fiona Girardot got things going in the bottom of the first, hitting a solo home run before Peyton Bannon hit her second home run in as many games to give UW a 2-0 advantage.

UW was sitting in great shape until the top of the fifth inning as the Yellow Jackets scored four runs thanks to seven hits in the inning to take a 4-2 lead.

Georgia Tech extended its lead to 6-2 before the Badgers scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 6-4 contest.

The Yellow Jackets came close to extending their lead in the top of the seventh, but Tessa Magnanimo earned a strikeout with the bases loaded to get out of the inning.

In the bottom of the final inning, Ellie Hubbard and Morgan Kummer both got on base thanks to a walk and hit by pitch, respectively. Kayla Konwent launched a double down the left field line to score Hubbard while Kummer later scored on a wild pitch.

With the bases still loaded, Skylar Sirdashney drew a walk, scoring Eden Dempsey to give UW the win and to send the Badgers to their fifth regional final in their last six tries.
