MADISON, Wis. - Following a two-game homestand, the No. 22 Wisconsin women's team will return to the road for a pair of matches at No. 16 Notre Dame and Butler. The Badgers will clash against the Fighting Irish on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. and close out the weekend against the Bulldogs on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 12 p.m.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

1. RISING IN THE RANKS: Wisconsin checked into the national poll at No. 22 this week, rising two spots from its position the previous week. The Big Ten saw three other teams earn national rankings this week in No. 8 Penn State, No. 9 Rutgers and No. 24 Michigan.

2. JASKANIEC'S HOT START: Emma Jaskaniec is riding a three-game point streak and leads the Badgers in goals (2) and points (5). The senior delivered the game-winning goal versus Green Bay and has placed four of her nine shots on goal this season.

3. MCKINNEY IN NET: Erin McKinney has started all four games in net and has posted three clean sheets. McKinney is tied for the lead in shutouts in the Big Ten and ranks fourth in save percentage (.941), saves per game (4.0) and goals against average (.250).

4. ROOKIE IMPACT: Freshman Rylee Howard netted her first career goal versus Green Bay. Howard and Liv Curry and the only rookies who have started in all four matches for Wisconsin.

5. THE ROAD AHEAD: Four of Wisconsin's next five matches will take place on the road. Following two matches at McClimon field against Milwaukee (Sept. 8) and Northern Illinois (Sept. 12), the Badgers will open up their Big Ten slate at Iowa (Sept. 16) and Purdue (Sept. 22).
