MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's basketball team returns to the Kohl Center Tuesday night to take on Penn State. The matchup between the Badgers and the Nittany Lions will begin at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available.

Before the Badgers tip, here is the Starting Five:

1. LAST TIME OUT:  Wisconsin suffered a loss on the road against Indiana at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Saturday afternoon. The Badgers were led offensively by Connor Essegian, who scored 14 points, shooting 42.8% (3-for-7) from 3-point range. Max Klesmit and Chucky Hepburn added nine and eight points, respectively.

2. FRESHMAN STANDOUT: In his return home to the state of Indiana, Essegian posted the first double-double of his career with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Coming off the bench for the Badgers, Essegian has provided a spark for the team scoring 10.5 points per game, leading UW in scoring the last two games.

3. BY THE PLAYERS: Tuesday's game will be the debut of this season's Wisconsin men's basketball alternate uniforms, designed in collaboration with Under Armour. The men created this year's look to represent diversity and inclusion. The black uniforms feature gold pinstripes that contain the words "EQUALITY, UNITY, WISCONSIN FORWARD" within the stripes.

4. SERIES AGAINST PENN STATE: The Badgers lead the all-time series against the Nitty Lions, 42-11. UW has won the last three games against Penn State. Last season, Wisconsin only played Penn State once, as the two teams battled at the Kohl Center in a tight contest that UW won, 51-49. The Badgers were led by Steven Crowl (13 points) and Tyler Wahl (12 points).

5. SCOUTING THE NITTY LIONS: Penn State currently holds a 12-5 record (3-3 Big Ten), coming off of an 85-66 home win over Indiana. Two seniors lead the Nittany Lions in scoring this season, as guard Jalen Pickett and Seth Lundy are averaging 17.6 points and 14.4 points per game, respectively. Picket is shooting 49.6 percent (120-for-242 from the field), while Lundy is shooting 48.1% FG (75-for-156).
