Five things to know: Badgers wrap up season at home

Wisconsin host Green Bay on Senior Day Friday

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's and women's swim and dive programs concludes the regular season with a dual meet against Green Bay. The 17th-ranked Badger women (5-2, 1-2 B1G) take on Green Bay  (2-4) while the 24th-ranked UW men (5-2, 2-1 B1G) swim off against the Phoenix (3-3) beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center. 

Wisconsin will recognize its 2023 senior class in a post-meet ceremony.
 
1. ELITE COMPANY: In the most recent CSCAA rankings, the Badger women are ranked 17th after competing at No.16 Michigan last weekend. Five Big Ten women's teams are ranked among the top 25 in the national rankings. The men's team earned the 24th slot after facing No.17 Michigan in their most recent Big Ten dual matchup. 2.  DUAL MATCHUPS: The Badger women have two losses (5-2) in dual matchups this season, coming off a dominating 205-95 win over Pittsburgh last weekend. The UW men's team enters this weekend 5-2 in dual meets also coming off a 155-145 victory over Pitt.
 
3. FLYIN & JUMPIN: Captain and senior Mallory Jump looks to lead the Badger women to another B1G regular-season dual meet win this weekend. Jump kicked off the triangular meet vs. Michigan and Pittsburgh last weekend with individual wins in the 200 and 100 fly. She was joined by sophomore Paige McKenna, who was also a double-event winner, touching the wall first in the 1000 free and 500 free.  
 
4. NEW MARKS FOR NEWMARK: Junior Jake Newmark looks to continue his success in freestyle this weekend. Newmark earned three wins in the 100 free (43.63), 200 free (1:35.69), and 500 free (4:26.59) against the Wolverines and Panthers last weekend. He was also a member of the second-place 400 free relay, being joined by freshman Dominik Mark Torok, who was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, after winning his third-individual event in three consecutive dual meets. Torok touched the wall first in the 200 fly.
