Badgers shine in season opener
MARIETTA, Ohio -- No. 10 Wisconsin men kicked off their season Friday night against Marietta. The race took place on the Ohio River and they did not disappoint.
Racing in an extremely fast current, Wisconsin's second varsity eight highlighted the evening with a time of 4:58.5. Marietta finished with a time of 5:14.5 in the second varsity eight race.
In the varsity eight race, Wisconsin won by a commanding 16 seconds, completing the race with a time of 5:02.0 compared to Marietta's 5:18.3.
Capping off the night for Wisconsin and racing over just 1,850 meters, boats A, B and C took the first three spots in the third varsity four race.
Up Next: The Badgers shift their focus to the Pac-12 Invite set to take place in Redwood City, California on April 8-9.
