MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team will make its final road stop in Michigan to face the Spartans on Thursday Oct 17. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. (CT).

Here are five things to know:

1. SCOUTING THE SPARTANS: The Badgers last faced the Spartans on Sep 24, 2023 in their first Big Ten matchup of the season, and dropped with a  final score of 1-0. Wisconsin carries a 18-4-1 record against Michigan State, and in the past ten games has out-scored the Spartans 14-5.
 
The Spartans are currently ranked No. 21 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and 12 in the RPI. They are also seventh in Big Ten standings with 15 points, holding a 4-1-3 record. Michigan State is coming off its first loss of the season with a final score of 1-2 after facing Washington on the road.  
 
The Spartans average 2.23 goals per game and claim .442 shot-on-goal percentage.
 
2. SCOUTING THE TERRAPINS: The Badgers hold a 6-0-2 record against the Terrapins after last facing them in the 2023 campaign, taking the content 3-0 with three goals in the first half. 
 
Maryland holds a 1-6-1 record in Big Ten play with four points. The Terrapins are coming off their only win of the season against Nebraska with a final score of 2-0.

3. LAST TIME OUT: The Wisconsin women's soccer team triumphed in their game, blanking Indiana 1-0, securing head coach Paula Wilkins her 200^th win as a Badger.
 
Aryssa Mahrt scored the only goal on the game in the 12^th minute putting the Badgers up early. Drew Stover earned her fifth clean sheet of the season after three saves in the game.
 
Wisconsin had the statistical advantage leading in shots (12-6), shots-on-goal (4-2), and corners (5-3).
