Badgers finish third at The Bruzzy

Wisconsin grabs third top-3 finish of season
ARDMORE, Okla. – The Wisconsin women's golf team picked up another top-3 showing after placing third at The Bruzzy thanks to a 30-over par (286-287-297=870) finish at Dornick Hills Country Club in Oklahoma.
Vanessa Ho climbed seven spots on the individual leaderboard to lead the Badgers after shooting a 72-72-69=213, placing her T6 at three-over par. Fellow junior Chloe Chan followed closely behind with a five over-par (69-71-75=215) finish to T9.Â
Wisconsin also paced fellow Big Ten schools Minnesota (8th) and Purdue (10th) in the 13-team tournament hosted by North Texas. Arkansas finished first among the talented field with a 16-over 856.Â
Ho paced the team with a 1-under 69 in the final round to finish T6 at 3-over par. She tallied four birdies in the round to bring her tournament total to nine.Â
Chan carded a 5-over 75 in the third round, placing her T9 at 5-over par. The junior's 11 birdies throughout the tournament tied for second among the 72 golfers. Following closely behind, Alexia Siehl shot a 6-over 76 to T40 at 15-over par.Â
Kate Brody finished out the day with a 7-over 77 to T48 at 17-over par, while Carly Carter shot an 8-over 78 to finish tied for 45th place at 16-over par.Â
Chan completed the day with a 1-over 71 to finish in fourth place at par with a 69-71=140. Teammate Ho climbed one spot from T14 in Round 1 to T13 after Round 2 with a 4-over par 72-72=144.
Carter finished third among Badgers in the second round, improving her game by 10 strokes to finish T32 with 79-69=148. Carter finished par on 13 of 18 holes and also shot three birdies for the big climb.
Siehl finished Saturday T37 with 70-79=149 (+9) and Brody shot 75 in both rounds to finish T45 with 10-over par 75-75=150.
Chan shot 1-under par 69 to lead the Badgers after the first 18 holes and finished the round tied for second place. Chan shot an impressive six birdies, including four in a row on holes 4-7 and led the field at 4-under par on the back nine for a stanza during the morning round.
Siehl also finished among the tournament's top individuals after the first 18 holes, finishing the round tied for fifth at Even par 70 with four birdies. Ho shot 2-over 72 tie for 14th, while freshman Brody completed the opening round T36 at 5-over 75 and Carter held T64 at 9-over 79.

Round 3
