MADISON, Wis. – Women's soccer student-athletes Adee Boer and Kiara Gilmore have earned Big Ten weekly honors following notable performances against No. 9 UCLA and USC.
Boer was named Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career after scoring both game-winning goals in Wisconsin's victories over the Bruins and Trojans. The forward now has four game-winning goals this season, the second-most in the Big Ten, and posted a perfect 100% shots-on-goal rate over the weekend (2-for-2). Boer has started the last 10 matches and appeared in 13 overall this season.
Gilmore earned Freshman of the Week honors for the first time after assisting on the game-winning goal against UCLA. She has started all 15 matches this season and ranks No. 4 in the TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Freshman Rankings—the highest among all Big Ten players. Gilmore sits third on the team with 1,301 minutes played and leads all Big Ten freshmen in minutes.
Boer and Gilmore will look to carry their momentum as the Badgers travel to face Oregon on Thursday, Oct. 16, and Washington on Sunday, Oct. 19.
