Wisconsin hosts DePaul and Purdue this weekend
1 – BADGERS ARE BALLING – Wisconsin notched its sixth win of the spring season on the road against Notre Dame last weekend. The 4-3 victory snapped a seven-match losing streak against the Fighting Irish. The Badgers are going into two matches at home this weekend on a five-match win streak and are 4-0 when playing at Nielsen.
The Badgers went to South Bend on a mission, opening doubles play with a quick 6-3 victory at the No. 2 spot. Notre Dame took a victory at No. 3 doubles, putting all eyes on court No. 1 where Oliver Olsson and Tomas Zlatohlavek were battling against the No. 16 ranked duo of Llorens and Nad. The match went to a tiebreak before the Wisconsin partnership earned the team point with a 7-6 (7-4) victory. The Badgers went on to take wins at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 6 singles to seal the 4-3 team victory.
2 – EXCELLENT ED – Sophomore Edouard Aubert is 3-1 this season and 3-0 since his first match of the spring against then No. 16 Baylor. Last Friday, Aubert's win against Notre Dame's Peter Nad propelled the Badgers to their first win against the Irish since 2010. The team score was three-all before Aubert secured the win with a 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles.
3 – KNOW YOUR OPPONENTS – UW leads the all-time series against DePaul 23-2, most recently earning a 7-0 win during the 2025 season. DePaul is currently 0-4 this spring. Through 88 matches against Purdue, Wisconsin holds a 64-24 edge in the all-time series. Last season the Badgers bested the Boilermakers 4-1 at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Purdue is 3-4 this spring.
