Biography

2016-17 (Senior): Coxed the varsity eight for the majority of the season … placed ninth with the varsity eight at Head of the Charles in October … led the boat to a first-place finish at the Stanford Invite … coxed the Badgers to second-place finished at the Cochrane/Jablonic Cup, as well as the Congram Cup … led Wisconsin to a third-place finish at the Eastern Sprints in May … coxed the second varsity eight at the IRA National Championships, leading the Badgers to 13th overall … coxed a four and an eight at the Princeton Chase, placing fourth with both boats

2015-16 (Junior): Coxed the third varsity eight four times, including a first place finish in the petite final at the IRA National Championships and a sixth place finish at the Eastern Sprints... also led the boat to a win at the Stanford Invite and a first place finish at the Devil's Lake Dual... coxed the varsity eight to a second place finish against Syracuse in April... led the second varsity eight at the Princeton Chase.

2014-15 (Sophomore): Led the varsity eight as the coxswain twice in the 2014-15 season…in his two starts, the boat finished 12th at the EARC Championships and 15th at the IRA National Championships.    

2013-14 (Freshman):  Steered the lightweight varsity four as the coxswain to a first-place finish and the freshmen varsity eight to a second-place finish behind another Wisconsin boat in the race against Minnesota and Milwaukee School of Engineering during the 2014 spring racing season...coxswain for the third varsity eight
that won the grand final in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships in June.

High School: Ran cross country for four years, named most improved runner in 2010 and qualified for the 2012 and 2013 state tournament...was captain of the varsity team senior year and was the 2013 Rim Rock Classic JV Champion...also ran track and field for four years, where he was varsity captain his senior year and was awarded most improved player in 2012.

Personal: siblings include twin brother Patrick, a member of NROTC at UW-Madison, Connor, Keegan and Brady...parents are David and Mary...older brother Connor ran cross country and track and field for four years at Marquette University...intended major is chemistry
