Biography
2016-17 (Senior): Coxed the second varsity eight to a win and a pair of second-place finishes at the Stanford Invite in April … led the third varsity eight to second place at the Jablonic Cup … coxed the third varsity eight to fifth place at the Eastern Sprints in May … led a four and an eight in fall races at the Princeton Chase
2015-16 (Junior): Coxed the fourth varsity eight to a first place finish in the petite final at the Eastern Sprints in May and led the varsity four to a fifth place finish in the grand final at the IRA National Championships in June... led the first varsity eight to a victory, in addition to steering the lightweight varsity four to first place, over Minnesota and MSOE in April... helped the fourth varsity eight to a win at the Devil's Lake Dual.
2014-15 (Sophomore): Coxswain for the varsity four that finished second in a race against MSOE and MIT at the Devil’s Lake Challenge…navigated the lightweight varsity four, as the coxswain, that finished sixth at the Princeton Chase in October.
2013-14 (Freshman): Coxed the second freshmen four to second place, trailing another Wisconsin boat, in the Head of the Iowa during the fall season...coxswain for the freshmen eight, the lightweight varsity four and the freshmen four in a race against Minnesota and Milwaukee School of Engineering in which the two freshmen boats placed first and the lightweight varsity four placed fourth...led the second freshmen eight as coxswain to a first-place finish in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships in June.
High School: Competed in wrestling for two years, placing third in the county for the 98 lb. category and third in the county at the 103 lb. category. Also competed in rowing for two years of high school.
Personal: Parents are father, Kelly, and mother, Mary...intended major is genetics.
Reason for choosing UW: "Top-10 men's rowing team, top-10 Pre-Medicine program, and an academic scholarship."
What Wisconsin Rowing means to you: "It is an opportunity to be a part of something larger than myself by representing my school at an elite level."
