Reason for choosing UW-Madison: “UW-Madison is a very good school and close to home. I wanted to get an engineering degree from a place that was going to give me the opportunity to branch off in many directions as I went through my degree path. Madison is one of those places where if you wanted to try and do something, like rowing for instance, all you have to do is seek it out because the opportunity is already there.”

What Wisconsin rowing means to you: “Rowing started out as just something I wanted to try because it seemed interesting and was something different. Throughout this year however, it has changed into something that my life almost revolves around. Rowing has taught discipline, communication skills and the value of teamwork, while being a competitive and engaging sport. It has given me the opportunity to push myself and meet so many new people. The team has become almost like family, each person contributing something unique.”
