High School: Four-year member of the hockey team … competed in the state tournament for four years … earned NAPHL all-academics … 2014-15 captain of the Madison Capitals … also played lacrosse for two years
Personal: Parents are Jenny and Dan Fiala … has two brothers Joe and Jon, and two sisters, Jill and Kaylene … brother, Joe, plays for Quinnipiac’s D1 men’s hockey team … siblings, Jon and Kaylene, were Chancellor’s scholars at UW-Madison … also a Chancellor’s scholar … intended major is biochemistry Â
Reason for choosing UW-Madison: “UW-Madison is close to a lot of my family. It is an amazing city and a great school with outstanding academics.”
What Wisconsin rowing means to you: “Wisconsin rowing means a lot of hard work and perseverance. It’s a great opportunity to better myself as an athlete and as a person.”
