Biography
2014-2015 (Sophomore): Raced in the sixth seat for the second varsity eight boats that defeated Stanford and Oregon and came in second to California at the Stanford Invitiational, as well as finishing second to Boston University and Northeastern at the Devil’s Lake Challenge…sat in the sixth seat twice for the third varsity eight boats that finished eighth at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships and ninth at the EARC Sprints.
2013-2014 (Freshman): Filled the fifth seat in the freshmen eight boats that placed first over Oregon State and Stanford and came in second to California, Boston University and Northeastern University during the 2014 spring season...helped the freshmen eight crew secure a fourth-place overall finish in the Eastern Conference Sprints in May...sat fourth seat during the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships with the freshmen eight boat that took fifth-place overall in the competition.
High School: Played soccer for four years, earned two varsity letters...ran track for two years.
Personal: Parents are Robbie and Cindy...has one brother, Jarod...made the UW Dean's List during hs first semester...major is undecided.
Reason for choosing UW-Madison: Great academics, in-state location, Big Ten atmosphere, and lots of new opportunities.
What Wisconsin Rowing means to you: Growing up I always was a fan of Wisconsin Athletics so it's really special to now compete wearing the Wisconsin "W". It's also a great opportunity for me to try something new, considering I was a walk-on.
