MADISON, Wis. – After a three-game road trip that resulted in three victories, seven goals scored and only one goal allowed, the No. 9 Wisconsin women's soccer team (6-1-0) is returning home to face off against border rival Minnesota (4-1-2) this Saturday. 1. LOOKING BACK: Wisconsin upset then No. 3 ranked Virginia, 1-0, in its first true road game of the season. The team then went on to defeat William & Mary and Drake by scores of 3-1 and 3-0. Sophomore Dani Rhodes scored in each match, giving her four goals on the season. Freshman Lauren Rice collected her first two goals of the season and her career, versus William & Mary and sophomore Camryn Biegalski found the back of the net versus Drake for her first career tally.

2. SCOUTING MINNESOTA: Minnesota is coming off of one of its best seasons in school history, going 16-3-4 last season and finishing tied for first in the Big Ten. The Golden Gophers started this season with a four-game unbeaten streak, tying two and winning two, before losing to UC Santa Barbara. The Badgers lead the overall series between the teams 15-13-1, with last season's 1-0 double overtime upset victory being the most recent meeting.

3. SHOOT TO GET HOT, SHOOT TO STAY HOT: Forward Dani Rhodes has nine points on the season coming from four goals and one assist. Rhodes has also gotten off 23 shots this season, 12 of them on goal. The sophomore is tied for first in shots in the Big Ten, tied for third in shots per game, tied for third in goals and tied for fourth in goals per game. Rhodes has also scored three game-winning goals this season. Look for the Waukesha, Wisconsin native to come through when needed this Saturday.

4. THREE'S COMPANY: After Wisconsin's road trip, three Wisconsin players found their names in Big Ten weekly honors. Goalkeeper Caitlyn Clem was awarded Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for her nine saves, season-best six stops against William & Mary and her shutout versus No. 3 Virginia. Rhodes was handed co-offensive player of the week following her two goals and one assist. Freshman Lauren Rice was awarded Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week after her two goals against William & Mary. The forward was also a crucial part in Wisconsin's victory over Virginia.

5. DON'T STOP NOW: The Badgers, riding a five-game win streak, find themselves ranked for the second time this season and second week in a row, receiving the No. 9 spot in the United Soccer Coaches poll. This is the best start to a season UW has had since 2014 when the team began 7-0 and finished 19-3-2. The No. 9 ranking is the highest for the Badgers since 2014 when UW went to the second round of the NCAA tournament. UW has been ranked in the top 10 seven times in program history.
