MADISON, Wis. – What's more exciting than a Halloween Border Battle match in the UW Field House? For the fifth-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team, another chance at No. 3 Minnesota might just be the pinnacle of its Big Ten slate this season. After suffering a three-set sweep to the Golden Gophers in Minneapolis at the end of September, the Badgers look to hand the Gophers their first Big Ten loss of the season Wednesday night. First serve is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the match will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

1. STUDENT NIGHT: Celebrate Halloween with the Badgers! 1,000 FREE student tickets are available and must be redeemed in advance using your student online login. Claim your free ticket beginning Oct. 30 at 8:30 a.m. Students will also receive FREE Wisconsin Volleyball t-shirts courtesy of Under Armour while supplies last.

2. DIGS FOR DAYS: Junior Tiffany Clark tied the school record for most digs in a match against Michigan on Friday night. The libero tallied a career-high 33 digs to help lead the Badgers past the Wolverines.

3. FOUR IN A ROW: The Badgers picked up two more wins last weekend for four-straight conference victories. UW downed No. 12 Michigan in five sets (18-25, 25-16, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11) on Friday night before sweeping Michigan State (25-14, 25-20, 25-23) on Saturday.

4. CONGRATS COACH: Head coach Kelly Sheffield picked up his 150th win at Wisconsin Friday night against Michigan for a 151-39 record during his time with the Badgers. The 2014 Big Ten Coach of the Year has led his teams to five-straight Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA tournament.

5. SCOUTING MINNESOTA: The Golden Gophers (18-2 overall) are having a spectacular season and sit alone atop the Big Ten standings with 12-straight conference wins. Last weekend, they earned sweeps of Michigan State and Michigan. Minnesota has only lost two sets this season in conference play. Senior setter Samantha Selliger-Swenson runs the Gopher offense with 11.74 assists per set. Her main targets are outside hitters Stephanie Samedy and Alexis Hart who are averaging 3.63 and 3.05 kills per set, respectively. Freshman libero CC McGraw holds down the backcourt with 4.08 digs per set.
