MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Hoping to continue building off of a two-win weekend, the Wisconsin women's soccer team (10-2-3 overall, 4-1-3 Big Ten) will cross the border to head to the all-to-familiar home field of the Minnesota Gophers (8-6-1, 4-3-1) this weekend.

1. LET'S RECAP: Wisconsin knocked off two Big Ten opponents this past weekend in Indiana and Purdue. The Badgers defeated Indiana, 2-1 behind goals from the sophomore, forward duo of Cameron Murtha and Lauren Rice. Two days later, UW beat Purdue, 1-0, behind a goal from senior Emily Borgmann. Goalkeeper Jordyn Bloomer logged her sixth shutout of the season against Purdue, facing three shots on goal and saving them all.

2. WHO TO WATCH: Wisconsin's top three point scorers in 2018 are Rice [12], Murtha [10] and Borgmann [9]. Rice's points come from five goals and two assists, Murtha's from three goals and four assists and Borgmann's from four goals and on assist. Rice and Borgmann have combined for five game-winning goals this season, the most recent coming this past weekend when Rice secured the win over Indiana and Borgmann scored Sunday's sole goal against Purdue.

3. SCOUTING MINNESOTA: The Gophers post an 8-6-1 overall record, including 4-3-1 in the Big Ten. Minnesota lost its most recent match, 3-2, to Indiana on the road. Minnesota has gone into overtime five times this season, winning two, losing two and tying one. The Gophers have been shutout four times in 2018 and posted six shutouts of their own. Leading the way for the border rival is April Bockin, who has 16 points for the Gophers, coming from six goals and four assists. She has also got off 45 shots this season, for a .133 shot-on-goal percentage.

4. CHECK THE BOOKS: These two programs have met 29 times throughout their history, with Wisconsin leading the all-time series 15-13-1. The Badgers are 8-3-0 in Minneapolis, 6-8-1 at McClimon and 1-2-0 at neutral sites. The most recent meeting between the teams came in 2017 when the Badgers upset Minnesota in the first round of the Big Ten tournament on the road, 2-0. Minnesota was a No. 3 seed in that contest.

5. BIG TEN STACK UP:  Wisconsin is currently third place in the Big Ten, behind Rutgers and Penn State. Minnesota sits sixth in the conference, just above Illinois. The Badgers are tied for second in points in the conference with 15, two behind the lead of Rutgers, and two points higher than the 13 of Minnesota.
