UW head coach Mark Johnson
On the setback:
"We just came up a little short. It wasn't a lack of effort. I thought for the most part created some opportunities, had opportunities, and for whatever reason it just didn't work out. It's always a tough pill to swallow when it ends your season. For Baylee (Wellhausen), Lauren (Williams) and Claudia (Kepler), our three seniors, it's tough. I told them that they should walk out of here with their heads up because they have a lot to be proud of. They had a great season and they played well tonight. We just came up a little bit short."Â
