MADISON, Wis. – Three Wisconsin women's openweight rowers received invites, plus a fourth who is on the short waitlist, as USRowing announced participants for this summer's 2018 Under 23 Women's National Team Selection Camp.
The camp will select the U23 women's eight, four, quadruple sculls and four with coxswain that will compete at the
 2018 World Rowing Under 23 Championships scheduled for July 25-29 in Poznan, Poland. The camp, which will take place in West Windsor, New Jersey, will also select a pair to race at USRowing's Under 23 World Championship Trials in early July.
Lexi Siverling, a senior from Cadott, returns to camp looking to make a second-consecutive squad. She rowed in the women's four for Team USA at the 2017 event in Bulgaria, where she placed 10th.
She is joined by a pair of West Coast juniors in
Sarah Gibbons (San Francisco) and
Niamh Martin (Seattle) on the list of invites.
On the waitlist for the camp is senior and Lisle, Illinois, native
Morganne Freeman.
Each of the four rowers for the 13th-ranked Badgers have appeared in UW's top two boats, the varsity eight and second varsity eight, so far this spring.
